I was alright at maths and physics at school so it was one of the choices. I went for engineering at university, rather than maths or physics, because engineers are more responsible for making ideas come to life. That part of my job – building something real that can be used – is really satisfying. Also, I really liked art and wanted to do design. Some areas of engineering (product design for example) allow you to combine those two disciplines.
