Not in the conventional sense. I do think we carry on living in some way though. If I am buried in the ground after death my body will decompose. The matter that is my body will then get taken up in some way by other lifeforms looking for the nutrients they need e.g. plant roots will draw up minerals into their body for use to aid their survival. In this way I think that I will continue to survive in the world – but not as the “I” that “I” am now but instead part of the being of some other life form. Does that make sense?

No, I don’t. But I think the idea that, after I die, all the molecules and atoms that made me will be recycled to make new living things is pretty awesome.

No I don’t. Science and religion can often be at odds with one another (for example, Galileo, Richard Dawkins), but there are plenty of scientists that have a faith.

An interesting hypothesis. I am currently reading a book on Egyptian mythology and they were pretty clear that there is life after death.

However, the Egyptians have been dead for almost 4,000 years and I haven’t heard anything much from them recently. This leads me to a logical conclusion:

There is no “life after death” that can communicate with us. However, this does not completely rule out life after death. It only rules out communication from “beyond the grave”.

Until there is more information I am unable to analyse further.

As for my belief: nah, but then again, why not? Belief is something you need to get through the day. I believe in the laws of physics and yet, scientists are working on new laws all the time. So why shouldn’t people believe in life after death if it helps them live before death.

No. I think I believe in reincarnation in a funny way. I believe that our bodies return to dust and after tens or hundreds of years it will be break down and be recycled. Some of the atoms will come to life again. I heard somewhere that each of us has a few atoms of every person that has lived more than a hundred years ago. If that is true, I have a bit of Newton inside me and a bit of Columbus and a bit of Leonardo da Vinci. How amazing is that?
